Thanks, Ashish Poddar for allowing me membership to gmail generation group. I hope to learn and become acquainted with gmail. I like what I see, so far, although I find some things lacking.
I am a millwright, by trade and I enjoy computing and it is my hobby. I have used many different email programs and have not yet settled on any particular one. Perhaps gmail will fill the bill for me. I hope to learn from the group and perhaps lend some knowledge and good suggestions to make it better.

we would like to know more about your observations from other email programs compared to gmail.. be it on positive or negative counts ..

Since you are asking...

The real reason I don't dump my other account (web based) is because I like the fact that I can sort to "folders" and then the stuff is clear of my "inbox". Here, it gets "labels" but it still stays in my inbox.

just archive it then it goes out of the inbox but stays in the label
