Reporting spam is self explanatory. It only affects the efficient
operation of your email Inbox. The report bug is allowing Scott to
report directly to Help any problems he finds with the operation of
GMail and the range of new features that are rolled out and added to
his personal account. We are all lab rats for Gmail. We are not equal
in this experiment. We do not have the same features activated to each
account. Scott is a prodigious poster to these forums. Therefore,
Google know they can rely on him to give feedback. The same cannot be
said of all users, once they have hustled for their invite and been
accepted. How often do you access Help and give feedback on the day to
day use of your account, vonnie, since you have had the service? How
often does anyone on this thread tell Help what GMail means to them?
They want to know. The more feedback, the better the service. Honest.
It will get (even) better, if you tell them!
Who knows? One day you too will get a report bug feature on your
account, just like Scott, but only if you are really, really good and
tell Help how much you love (or hate) GMail. Go on, write to them today
and tell them how much you love them. They need a hug.
As it is, with the number of posts Scott has made, you can be sure that
Sergey + Larry trust Scott with the keys to the Googleplex and let him
lock up at night. "2am and all is well".
