Hey guys, how do you suggest features to Gmail? I'm starting to get more and more spam here at this address now and it's starting to drive me crazy. It seems the spam that is in my inbox only gets more and more everyday and it's not being picked up by the spam filters. I have to weed through my inbox and mark them all as spam and then in a couple of hours I have to do it all over again. I've been using Yahoo lately for a lot of my mail now because I can control the spam by blocking the domains that they come from. And I know I can do that with Gmail but I don't want to have to set up a filter for every peice of spam that I get. To tell you how bad it is I can check my email, and then go to work. When I come home from work and glance through my email I gurantee you I have around 100 spam messages waiting on me in just an eight hour timeframe.

What did you do to get that much spam??? I can't see how it could be
dictionary spam (who happens to guess that kind of username?); what
forms have you added yourself to?

I couldn't honestly tell you man really. I know it has been over time that it continues to get worse and worse. A lot of it is this old ebay work at home stuff, credit card offers, loan offers, shopping advertisements, and all this other spam that hotmail users seem to get spammed with like crazy.

I would make a filter that directs them out of the inbox and to a label. Check that label and mark them as spam.

Let's not turn the victim into the perpetrator!

I'm not sure you can do that. What kind of filter would you create
that would encompass all spam?

Spam is becoming a bigger problem that appears to be least addressed by
Gmail.

I get a total of about 150-200 spam messages in the 30 day period that
it stays in the spam folder. The vast majority of them are filters; I
report about 1 every week or so.

while we're quoting statistics, I get about 75 spams a day and have to report perhaps 2 of them.

If you want to suggest a feature, use this website:

Hope you get that spam undercontrol!

I get two to four a day using Incredimail so its not surprising gmail gets its share. This scam is proliferating at an alarming rate. They now use you computer to send these out you know so get good protection.
