What are the criteria for "frequently mailed" contacts?

Hi there,

i've been wondering what exactly the criteria for the "frequently
mailed" contact tab are, as some contacts i havent used in a long time
dont seem to go away .. also .. the number of contacts the list holds
seems to vary ..
Does anyone have some insight?

This is probably unknown... I suppose you might be able to figure it out by digging through the javascript code if it decides this client side, it the server side decides it then its hard to figure that info out...

Yeah I wondered this too...I am still hoping google e-mails me back, I
asked about it like a week ago. What I figured out is that the
"frequently mailed" is that you got mail from them in thepast month or
so.

I've always thought it was just recently mailed contacts. At least,
that's been my experience so far, and I've been using Gmail for a year
now.
