Hi Folks,

I am Mike from Pennsylvania, 52 years old and single and enjoy
computers. Have worked over 20 yrs in IT Operations. I like Yahoo
Mail lots but as a true computer guy lol was curious as to what was
what with GMAIL so got an invite from a good Samaritan.
I don't understand why GOOGLE brought to market such a sparsely
equipped product but hopefully I will get ppl's opinion on that on the
main message board here.
I am an NFL fan for sure and like the NY Giants best but I like many
other teams too.
Peace,
Mike

Ah, but they didn't "bring it to market."

Ah Rachel u don't let anything less than pro-gmail comments get by lol.
I meant that gmail is available for MANY ppl to use.

I am sorry to have upset u and anyone. I did not realize this was a
pro-gmail group. I thought it would be made up of a mix of ppl and not
all pro-Gmailers.

I will basically be quiet and see what info I can find about Gmail
which is why I joined the group in the first place.

you don't need to hide your feelings or thoughts. everyone is free to
express their feelings... yay or nay.. concerning gmail. as long as it
has something to do with gmail it can be posted up here.

AS LONG AS IT'S not some INVITE REQUEST!

no, *all on-topic discussion* is good. feel free to write whatever you like
for or against gmail. the group is for everyone and not just pro gmail
users. cheers.

I think Google will in the near future try to "add" the "bells &
whistles" that a lot of people want/need ? I watched "60 Minutes"
tonight & they're brainstorming with some of the best engineers & techs
in the world..............& they have just scratched the surface

Do too.

> I meant that gmail is available for MANY ppl to use.

And I meant that it's still not a "product" in the "marketplace," so
although it can be useful to compare and contrast it to other e-mail
providers, it's not fair to call absent features "flaws" or
"shortcomings."

> I am sorry to have upset u and anyone.

I wasn't upset, and I don't think anyone else thought I was upset.

It *is* a mix of people. Other people on here have added positive
comments on Yahoo! or Hotmail, and some of those were in threads you
were participating in.

No one was telling you to be quiet, so please don't pipe down on my
account. I didn't think your characterizations of Gmail were correct,
and I said so. I said so in more than one spot. But this doesn't mean
you're unwelcome here, Mike.

LOL Well U sure did not let a post of mine go without attacking it or
shall I say pouncing on it and tearing it to shreads. Even this last
post u had to go through and pick apart. WOW if that is making me feel
welcome u could have fooled me.

No thanks I am not interested in posting and then watching u pick them
apart as u did all day today.

As an addition to Derek's though, I believe that as long as we don't
insult other's opinions, all are welcome here.

Does that about sum it up, Derek and Scott?

yeah this is correct. it's all written in the group's FAQ. members should
read it at least once.
