The HD-Frontend.exe is the Bluestacks UI process and is highlighted yellow because it has loaded the .NET framework. There are a number of other processes associated with Bluestacks and most are also .NET.

While BlueStack's site does not list any system requirements for its emulator that I could find, at least a couple sites -- e.g. Bazooka Apps and Android Emulator for PC -- mention .NET as a requirement.

its an emulation tool whose job is to read the dex code respond to that how the android phone should respond and not to compile and run that dex so it could be on python or ruby also there is no boundation at all that you have to make android emulator on java becuase android is built upon java.

I have recently shifted to android studio. I would like to know how I can test my apps in Bluestacks app player. I had already had the bluestacks connected and working with eclipse using adb connect localhost:5555 but it doesn't seem to work with android studio. Didn't find any help anywhere. If anyone has done this, please help.

first open bluestacks and go to settings > preferences > check the Enable Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and press Change path button, then select adb path. (default location: %LocalAppData%\Android\sdk\platform-tools)

These are all old answers, nothing works for me till I finally come out with a solution of my own.for a much later version (I'm using the 5.6x version, latest at the time of posting), just go to Settings in bluestack, click advanced, toggle on DB and run adb connect localhost:[port] with port being the number shown in the ADB information page (the one I underlined). Voila, you should automatically see another mobile device available on the Android Studio

I posted earlier that I wondered if anyone had loaded an Android Emulator onto their desktop PC in order to run the Arlo App? Since the videos will not play on a PC running Windows 10 with any web browser that I have found the only way to play them on a PC is to download them and use VLC Media Player or similar which is additional, completely unnecessary in my opinion, steps and it's starting to get old. The videos play just fine on the Android smart phone so I was wondering if the Android mobile app will work the same on my PC as it does on my phone or if the HEVC video issue will cause the same problem when using the emulator.

I did do this and it's relatively impressive. I installed BlueStacks which is Android Emulator software (free) which was built for running android games on a PC. Then I downloaded the Arlo mobile app just like you would do on your smart phone. For BlueStacks to properly run the Arlo videos I had to jump through some hoops and get into the BIOS of my PC to enable "virtualization technology" which was kind of a pain but now I can watch the Pro 3 videos on my PC without a problem (full screen) and I don't have to download them and watch on VLC media player or similar. Only problem is if deleting a large amount of videos I still log on to the Arlo website which is much easier than doing them one at a time on the Android Emulator but for just a few the Android Emulator works just like your phone.

I might try to post more on this but it's kind of cool right now that I can just buzz through a bunch of videos without downloading them. Also all the information (date, time, etc.) can be seen on the videos when using the emulator. And another thing is you don't have to log out and it won't time out (or it hasn't yet) and the Arlo 3 monitor screens are much larger now when using the emulator than when logged onto the Arlo website to view the cameras.

For personalized support specific to the Arlo products you own, access Support from within the Arlo iOS or Android App. Simply login to your Arlo App, go to Settings, Support, then select the Arlo product you would like support for.

Recently i bought a acer nitro 5 laptop equipped with amd R5 3550H vega 8 , graphics card Rx 560x. However, even after i enable the hyper v in my bios, those android emulators keep reminding me to enable the hyper-v. Any solutions?

HI I would like some thoughts on bluestacks.com I would like to try out the emulator and see if I can play games on my laptop. I would really like to play wheel of fortune on bluestacks if I can but I have never used bluestacks emulator to play games on my windows 11 laptop before. So I was just looking for some options on if it is a good idea to use bluestacks to connect to my google account and get games from the google store to download games to bluestacks. I was just wanting to now if this is a safe thing to do since I have never download an emulator before to play android games on my windows pc. I have never owned an android phone I have heard of android phones though. I was just curious what people have to say about downloading bluestacks emulator and downloading games from the google play store is it a good idea to do this on a windows 11 laptop. Thanks. waiting for information and Answers.

I can run bluestacks emulator fine, but for some games which require dodging, it would be easier if I had more time to think. That said, is there a feature that allows me to explicitly reduce the fps or make it slow motion?

Games are typically designed with a minimum performance requirement so they can run the physics and graphics engines for their content. The games are play tested at a standard frame rate (most likely 30 or 60 fps on Android) and would only have "easy modes" like "slow-mo" or "bullet time" modes if designed from the start.

While there are various articles online on how to make Bluestacks NOT lag and you could do the inverse, I doubt it would be fun experience. Reaction time games are just that, reaction time games. Given that most are designed by a younger generation, all I can suggest is to provide feedback to those developers to provide some accessibility options which may/may not make sense for any particular game.

New tablet arrived, is very fast web browser and plays games really quick. Was able to setup the Quest 2 with it. But only after I realized that you do not pair the headset and the tablet in the tablets settings, you pair the tablet and the headset in the Quest app which is on your phone/tablet. The instructions in the headset display explaining how to setup the Quest2 is very hard to understand. It was not presented logically, just cutely.

I don't know about IOS emulators (considering how locked down apple is, probably not likely), but no Android emulator can do the Quest setup. The problem is no android emulator has bluetooth support, and that's what's needed.

The phone isn't required for 99% of uses once the setup is done. You can get a friend to run the app on their phone, do the setup process, then uninstall the app and your Quest will run fine (it uses wifi to get on the internet. The only real need for the phone app is to turn on/off developer mode (needed for some unofficial software). But once turned on it will generally stay on.

Oculus headsets lead the market in sales, thanks to the technical people in the companies which produced the hardware. Not thanks to the business planning department that decided to require people with advanced PC desktops to also own later model iOS and Android phones. Most iOS and android phones made are still in use which means multitudes of people owning those will not be able to use a Quest 2 headset, despite owning a modern high end PC desktop.

Yep looks like I'm one of many of such persons who can't get there from here, so probably have to return the headset. Pitty. A great many people on Avsim and other major flight sim forums love the Quest 2 but won't be using one. Due to issues something like mine which have nothing to do with the headset itself.

It would be simple of course to have two apps, one that is full featured, just as their app is now. And another very simple one which runs on old iOS/Android OS, which perhaps does nothing much more than allowing headset setup for use on a PC. PC Steam games are biggest thing in gaming. So obviously VR headsets for use on PC's represent an enormous market.

It's a very annoying situation, I strongly disagree with the mobile requirement, just on the principle. The Quest is already an android device running on mobile hardware, why can't they put the account login bit on the headset?

The android requirement is 5.0 though, which came out 7 years ago, 2 years before Oculus even went consumer and 4 years before Oculus started using the mobile app. They've already dropped it back to a quite out of date OS.

With so many different android emulators available, figuring out which is right for you is tough. You know you want to ensure app compatibility and functionality across a wide range of Android versions but need to figure out which tool is best. I've got you! In this post I'll help make your choice easy, sharing my personal experiences using dozens of different emulation tools with various teams and projects, with my picks of the best android emulators.

Android emulators are software that replicate the Android operating system on other operating systems like Windows, macOS, or Linux. They create a virtual environment, simulating Android devices such as smartphones and tablets on a computer. These emulators allow users and developers to install and run Android apps and interact with them as if they were using a real Android device.

The benefits and uses of Android emulators include enabling developers to test and debug their Android applications efficiently across various Android versions and device specifications without needing physical devices. They are cost-effective, as they reduce the need for multiple testing devices. For users, emulators provide a way to run Android applications on a PC, enhancing accessibility and convenience. They also offer a safe environment to test new apps or app updates before deploying them to real devices.

The advanced features like the keyboard mapping and keyboard macros make controls way easier, while the multi-instance sync like features are helping players to enhance their gaming by creating several instances for the same game.
