I have packaged an app using glxApplicationPackager (Version 1.1.1 build 4) using Mac OS X 10.8.5 and LiveCode 6.7.0.  When I run it in Mac OS X 10.8.5 the preferences work properly.

I tried to run the standalone on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and the preferences are not working properly.
-the preferences menu is disabled.
-preferences are not saved
-preferences are not loaded.

The odd thing is that if I launch the application on Mac OS X 10.10 using the standalone in the project folder that is created by the glxApplicationProperties plugin the preferences will work.

Has anyone else seen this?
Do you think this is this an issue with the packager or is it an issue with LiveCode?

Sorry for posting the question twice.  I thought the first one did not work, missed the message that it would be reviewed.

Hmm, I'm not sure why this would be. I'm interested in knowing why the prefs menu is being disabled. That doesn't make much sense.

Have you looked in the ~/Library/Preferences folder to see if the preference file is being created? Also, what is the name of your preference file?

Hi

I think I have resolved it.  I realized that while I had packaged a new application with glxApplicationPackager in LC 6.7.0 GM1 I had not built a new standalone in the glxApplicationsProperties plugin using LC 6.7.0 GM1. The standalone had been built using one of the RC or DP builds.

So  I created a new standalone in the glxApplicationsProperties plugin and then repackaged the application both using LC 6.7.0 GM 1 and this time the Preferences menu item was displayed and preferences were being saved and retrieved.

Sorry for the false alarm.   I keep making this same mistake as I am working with changing releases of LiveCode.

Glad you got it squared away.
