Here's something different...an avocado smoothie! Ya I said it,
avocado smoothie!! Now I know most people think of avocados as a
savory vegetable, but let me tell you, after trying this smoothie
you'll soon be thinking what a versatile vegetable it really is! The
silky smooth texture of this smoothie is devine. So where did I come
up with this recipe? It actually was given to me by my Vietnamese
friend ago. She gave it to me in good faith that I would keep it a
secret. Sorry Kathy ;)
Ingredients:
2 Large Hass Avocados (pealed, pitted)
2 Cups Milk
3/4 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 Cups Crushed Ice
Directions:
1. In a blender combine all ingredients. Put avocado bottom of the
blender first, makes for quicker blending.
2. Blend until smooth consistency. This may take stopping the blender
to scrape sides and remove air pockets.
3. Taste the smoothie. If it needs more sweetness then add more sweet
condensed milk. If it's too thick add more milk.
*The avocado can be replaced with mangos or any exotic fruit.
