The bad news is that glumpy is no more maintained.

The good news is that I've created the vispy project together with Cyrille
Rossant, Luke Campagnola and Almar Klein which aim at gathering the best of
glumpy, visvis, qtgraph and galry.

You can find the project at: https://github.com/vispy/vispy

Your example might fit perfectly with the new project. For the time being,
I would recommend making a demo out of your class because we're currently
in deep development of new features in vispy. Later on, we could work on
making it a default visual.
