Anyone interested in doing any .NET hobby projects with me?

I am interested. What kind of project were you thinking of doing?

Hi, Henry, I'm replying again because so it shows in the tree of
postings. Yes, that sounds interesting. My orientation is business
programming so it will be good to try some different things.

Two things I remember from our original reply are student created
tutorial and help web site and delivery of music to students in the
lab.

My only idea so far is to create an on line book exchange for technical
materials. That might incorporate well into a tutorial and
instructional site.

That sounds fantastic! I'm glad.

Basically I want to do a couple systems that could help the student
computing group, ACM, that I'm in next year.

So things that are possible are:

Document manager - which could keep track of industry contacts, prep
docs for presentations, spots on MSU campus for the best flier
advertising, budget xls files
Mp3 server - members could upload their mp3s to our server and stream
it to the engineering building while they program and do lab
assignments. perhaps they can share mp3s too.
SIG portal - so special interest groups within ACM can have news or
blog updates to their group and have it aggregated to the main ACM
site.
Picture archive - This is where pictures of ACM events and outings
could be stored.
Book Exchange - So people could trade books or buy/sell their class CSE
books rather than some using some student bookstore.
Video Tutorial System - Record webcasts and stuff like that so members
could download it and learn some technical material.

So stuff like that. Let me know what you think or if you have any
ideas. There is no deadline for these things and they can be done
incrementally.
