Fwd: Yum not working with the Proxy

A friend of mine send this problem. I just mailed it here.

 

1)Ii m having one yum server and there are few server which configured to get the software or update from yum ..but most of the PC is not getting the update while rest of the system which is by passed from the proxy.they are update ,,

 

even we check the proxy setting and all the neccessary port is open for the updation .

 

tell me what to do..

  2) I am unable to take the Hyperterminal in Linux..even the package minicom is installed on the system..

suggest me what to do and how to do
