Dear GLUGers,
Dr. Verghese Kurien, father of the AMUL movement of COOPERATIVE Milk
revolution in India, passed away yesterday. Lets pray for the departed
soul who led the FARMER COOPERATIVE milk revolution in India for 50
years.
AMUL and GNU/LINUX movements share many things. They both are built on
the model of EMPOWERMENT and FREEDOM.
GNU/Linux and Free Software movement shares the same COOPERATIVE
culture of AMUL. It strengthens the basic contributor - the PROGRAMMER
who CREATES the SOFTWARE and who CAN make it better though SOFTWARE
FREEDOM LICENSE and PUBLIC release of SOURCE CODE so that anyone can
join and contribute to the SOFTWARE - this way the SOFTWARE becomes
BETTER in an FREE MODEL and is made available to a larger COMMUNITY
for the GOOD of ALL.
