hdgeant4 in version set 4.45.0 broken

Folks,

If you run hdgeant4 from our latest default version set, 4.45.0, I looks like this:

[marki@markdesk5/singC7 hdg4t]$ hdgeant4 run.mac
0

Igal reports seeing the same thing. The current version of hdgeant4 is 2.28.0. If I drop back to the previous version set, 4.44.0, running hdgeant4 2.27.0, thre is no problem.

Do not know what the problem is. The major change in hdgeant4 was the makefile, to I am goint to fool with that next...

It is simple to reproduce. There are three files in /u/scratch/marki/hdg4t:

total 564
-rw-r--r--. 1 marki halld 566977 Aug 30 14:33 b1_pi.hddm
-rw-r--r--. 1 marki halld    132 Aug 30 14:33 control.in
-rw-r--r--. 1 marki halld     17 Aug 30 14:33 run.mac

If you copy them to your local directory and do the "hdgeant4 run.mac" thing with 4.45.0, you should see it.

I can confirm this as well. For the moment, could we swap out for the old hdgeant4 in the default /group/halld/www/halldweb/html/halld_versions/version.xml on the farm? A bunch of Regina folks were also running into this using the default version set.

We reverted the default version set, going back to 4.44.0 for now. See this email message.

I've started looking at this. If I use the new version set with the old Diracxx swapped in, it seems to work. Caveats here, and more investigations coming...
