Hi,

I recently generated some MC data and I'm trying to flatten the files for analysis in FSRoot, but I'm encountering an error that I do not fully understand.

I am running the following command:
/w/halld-scshelf2101/hsingh/hd_utilities/FlattenForFSRoot/flatten -in /work/osgpool/halld/REQUESTED_MC/hs_mc_4546/root/trees/tree_etaetapr_gen_amp_V2/tree_etaetapr_gen_amp_V2_051311.root -out test.root

The output log shows several warnings and indicates that it is looping over zero entries. However, the un-flattened ROOT file does contain entries. The job ends with an "Abort (core dumped)" message. I have attached the log file for your reference.

If you have any suggestions on what might be causing this issue, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you,
Harsirman

Hi all,

This error arises because of a mismatch in the ROOT version of the environment and the version against which flatten was compiled.
This was resolved by running make clean and then make where my executable flatten is present (/w/halld-scshelf2101/hsingh/hd_utilities/FlattenForFSRoot).

Thanks to Dr. Shepherd for catching this error!

Best,
Harsimran
