Environment for analysis launches over bggen?

Hi all,

I'm trying to run an analysis launch over the Fall 2018 bggen sample. The instructions on the wiki say to use the same xml file as for the analysis launch over data, which in my case is analysis-2018_08-ver19.xml. This would be fine, except that that one uses version 4.38.0 of halld_recon, which isn't on the group disk, so my jobs fail when they try to run hd_root. Should I use a different xml file, or is there something else I need to add to one of my config files?

Hi Amy,

Indeed, these old version files would no longer easily compile on the EL9 nodes. If you still want to use exactly the same version set, you can try to use a container instead. I prepared another script for this case, just replace "script.sh" with "script_container.sh" in your jobs.config. This is still experimental and was therefore not widely advertised yet.

Alternatively, you could use a recent version set, like the current default "version.xml". I don't believe the results will significantly change.
