Swif2 not accepting CCDB_CONNECTION change

Hello,

I am trying to test some new calibration constants before uploading them but Swif2 defaults to the main database instead of the connection I have set. The first image shows an interactive ccdb session with the proper connection. The second image shows the log file from one of the jobs. 

In my .cshrc I have the correct connection set and this is the first time I have encountered the error after the holiday.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi Albert,

There is no guarantee that swif2 correctly sets up your environment with the .cshrc (see item 3. on https://scicomp.jlab.org/docs/swif2). You should put all the environment settings explicitly into your job script.

Thanks for the heads up Alex, is setting up the connection just a matter of placing 'setenv CCDB_CONNECTION sqlite:////w/halld-scshelf2101/halld2/home/alfab/ccdb/ccdb_2023-10-24.sqlite' in the jana.config file?

No, just add this line at the end of your environment.sh script:

export CCDB_CONNECTION=sqlite:////w/halld-scshelf2101/halld2/home/alfab/ccdb/ccdb_2023-10-24.sqlite
