Hello,

I am looking for a solution to edit a bpm file. E.g. split the file
containing beads from multiple species into separate bpm files.

from previous posts in this group I learn that glu is capable of
reading bpm files. Can it also edit them and store the results as new
bpm?

thanks for your help.

Jack

Hi Jack,

GLU doesn't have a BPM writer, though it wouldn't be terribly difficult to build one.  However, I'm not sure why you'd need to split a BPM, since it is fairly easy to exclude loci in GenomeStudio (or whatever primary analysis tool) to achieve a similar effect.  Are you worried about artifacts within normalization groups perhaps?
