GLSSN is being asked to co-host a film evening, Saturday, September 25 possibly, to watch the recently-released film, “8: The Mormon Proposition,” which 'examines the successful campaign against gay marriage in California that was heavily financed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is implacably opposed to homosexuality,' says the NY Times. It is a controversial film which should generate lots of discussion post:viewing. The Religious Studies Dept. wishes to host it with us.... views? Yes, no? I need to book the room soon if we do choose to co-host.... respond please ASAP.

I am up for co-hosting the film evening to see this film. I think it's good for viewing and discussion and whatnot. Please let me know what is decided.

Thanks. Stephanie.

Sounds like a great idea. That documentary left me upset and angry, but I'd watch it again. It's disgusting how far the Mormons went out of their way to make sure we didn't get our rights. They need a new hobby, like preparing for heaven or something.

Let's make sure this documentary is shown!
