Inheritance not supported?

Hello,

It appears that, while classes are supported in Web VPython, inheritance is not.

A simple program that attempts inheritance fails with the error:

Error: super is a reserved word at ...

This also fails with the same error if the parent class is a user-created one rather than a built-in one.

Hi Daniel,

My guess is that this is a limitation of the RapydScript, the python->javascript translation system used by WebVPython.

There is an experimental version of WebVPython that uses a WASM implementation of WebVPython. It’s not ready for general release quite yet, but I hope to offer it as an option early next year. I’ll contact you off-list if you want early access to test your code.
