Our  WebLogic crashed due to out of memory issues. When searching the root cause it appears to be related to glowroot. Do you have any knowledge how to prevent the issue from happening?

[There is supposed to be glowroot.log but I don’t see it created under the logs directory]

The errors in the weblogic log:

10:03:49.691 WARN  o.g.agent.impl.TransactionProcessor - not storing an aggregate because of an excessive backlog of 5 aggregates already waiting to be stored

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Hello,

We too have observed that when we run Glowroot for long time like weeks, months - it causes blocked threads and memory issues. The suggestion here is to install Glowroot in central pattern, that way only agent sits alongside JVM and these unnecessary threads and memory issues don't happen. Please see this:  Setting up Glowroot as Central Collector - Liferay - Liferay

Glowroot installation has two patterns, one default JAR on JVM and other central. For production, central is preferred.
