Reinstalling Glossword 1.8.11.

Several bugs I have encountered.

1. when unzipping the file, it creates a folder called
glossword-1.8.11 which supposedly has all the glossword files in it.
But it doesn't.
2. It also unzips the file into the root folder. What happens is that
the gw_temp folder in glossword-1.8.11 does not contain the "t"
folder. The extraction into the root does.
3. When importing into glossword, no import of previously exported XML
files is possible when using a new dictionary.
4. Deleted everything, downloaded glossword again, deleted all tables
in the DB. Reinstalled the whole thing again, and still unable to
import the XML files previously exported from Glossword:

100%
Maximum execution time, seconds: 90
Amount of consumed memory, KB: 6,503
Execution time, seconds: 0.21
The task execution time: 00:00:00

File name: 00001_gw_x9ngd2rh_1_of_5.xml
Size, bytes: 860,524

The number of terms: 0
Total: 5,000
Average speed, terms/second: 0.0
XML level: 3, tag: defn, type: open

5. The screen also shows this (first line of the Incorrect window):
<line><term t1="(" t2="B" t3="Y" uri="44056-by-default" id="44056"><!
[CDATA[(BY) DEFAULT]]></term><defn><![CDATA[ REVELIA]]></defn></
line>

6. So, the accent may be causing a problem, although it never did
previously.
7. What should I do?

This image gives a better idea of the accent in the file:

Ok, so I discovered that for some reason the XML backup files were not in UTF-8 format. So I opened them in Notepad and saved in the correct format. Now they imported fine, accents and all.

I will look at the unzipping problem again and see if I can replicate it, where the "t" folder isn't unzipped to the right place.

What's the outlook for future versions of non-Joomla Glossword? Can we contribute by PayPal?

Now, onto Google Adsense and Analytics.

Archive glossword-1.8.11.zip includes all necessary files.

`t` folder should be created automatically during installation if
folder `gw_temp` has writing permissions.

What non-Joomla Glossword versions do you mean?
If you are talking about integration into other CMSs (Drupal/
Wordpress) it is the matter of money only.

I'm working on Glossword since 2002. New Glossword version 1.9 has
only 10% of features from 1.8.
1.9.3 will include a custom alphabetic order. Three 1.9.x versions
were released during this month,
more versions ahead.

Unfortunately, PayPal does not operate in Russian Federation, but you
can contribute Western Union.

I need to pay for glossword.biz domain, hosting, and traffic.

Hi Dimitry

ok, 1) I just downloaded the 1.8.11.zip file from the google code website, and when it unzips there is no "t" folder under "temp". Luckily, I have an old extraction with the "t" folder. I don't know if I simply can't see this folder, or if it actually isnt in the package.

2) I am in Brazil, here we have some fairly good, cheap hosting with unlimited server space and unlimited bandwidth. I would be happy to pay for a server for you to host your domain, sites code, etc. Would that be of interest?

Cheers
Simon

Another problem that I found was that when selecting the option "Enable SEF (Search engine friendly URLs)", then the links break. People can search on the glossary site, but cannot click on the alphabetical and other links.
