Why this is more sad for the GLOSS guys because we were one of the recognized contributors to the opensolaris community in the early days of OpenSolaris (the distro). 

Once again, thanks to all the guys who were part of that initiative. It was fun while it lasted.

With major contributions to linux kernel and ecosystem like Btrfs, NFS
on IPv6 and many more
(http://www.oracle.com/us/technologies/linux/026042.htm) it is hard to
put MS and Oracle in the same basket.
