2KGames and Hangar 13 have delayed the release of Mafia: Definitive Edition, pushing the release from August 28th to September 25th. One of the main reasons for the delay has been the impact of COVID-19 and how it has impacted the development flow for Hangar 13. This has meant that the game will not be ready to be released for the original date. Hangar 13 did confirm there will be an extended look at Mafia: Definitive Edition on July 22nd. The full statement is below.

From the beginning, this has been a passion project for us. Many of our developers helped create the original Mafia, and all of us are committed to crafting an updated experience worthy of that timeless classic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make Mafia: Definitive Edition the very best it can be for all of our fans worldwide.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to you for watching our narrative trailer, playing the Definitive Editions of Mafia II and III, and supporting us as we continue building the definitive organized crime saga. We look forward to showing you more on July 22.

Here what makes the Heat: Director's Definitive Edition so definitive. Michael Mann is best known for being an expert director of thrillers, including 1986's Manhunter - which marked the screen debut of Hannibal Lecter as played by Brian Cox - The Insider and Collateral. His one and only diversion into horror was 1983's The Keep, his second movie. The Keep found a group of Nazi soldiers trapped inside an ancient keep with a demon, but while it's considered a cult gem now, it was brutally recut by the studio without Mann's input and he seems reluctant to discuss the movie nowadays.

His most acclaimed work is undoubtedly Heat. This almost 3-hour masterwork primarily involves the inevitable collision course between Al Pacino's committed cop and Robert De Niro's (The Irishman) expert thief. The two men find they're not so different from one another and the film famously united the two screen icons for the first time. The movie has a rich cast of supporting characters too, who all feel fleshed ou, right down to Dennis Haysbert's tragic getaway driver. Heat also features arguably the greatest onscreen gunfight, where De Niro and his crew engage in a ferocious battle with police after a heist goes wrong.

Heat is a script Mann spent years developing and even made a dry run with the material in the form of 1989's L.A. Takedown, a greatly condensed version of the story that was shot as a TV pilot. Mann is also known for tinkering with different cuts of his work, which can be relatively minor - such as his new edit of 2015's Blackhat - or more intensive like the director's cut of biopic Ali. Prior to the 2017 Heat: Definitive Director's Edition, Mann had already tweaked the movie slightly for a 2009 release, trimming lines from a scene between Pacino's Hanna and his wife, and the line "Ferocious, aren't I?" following his famous "She's got a great a**!" outburst.

These subtle changes were to remove issues that bugged Mann about Heat, but its likely only hardcore fans would have noticed these changes. The same cut is present for the Heat: Director's Definitive Edition, but the major differences are visual. This 4K restoration saw Mann approach the movie's color timing like he shot it recently, giving the film more of a blueish hue to bring it in line with a lot of his other work. This makes the blue tones pop more, while the blacks - most notably in the final showdown between De Niro and Pacino - are much darker and more ominous. Like the aforementioned dialogue changes, only real Heat fans will pick up on the changes.

The Heat: Director's Definitive Edition also mostly ports over extras from previous releases, though it includes a 2015 Q&A with Mann and another panel hosted by director Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk), as he talks with Mann, Pacino, De Niro, Val Kilmer and other members of the cast and crew. For fans who own the film already, the Heat: Director's Definitive Edition probably isn't worth a double-dip. For everybody else, its the best edition of the film currently available and belongs in just about every Blu-ray collection.

'Mark Lewisohn is the world's leading Beatles historian and writer' Nothing is Real - A Beatles Podcast 'An absorbing and enthralling account of the lives of all the leading players, written with integrity and honesty' thecavernclub.com

A radical event and a joy to read - Lewisohn tells the tale with such authoritative command of the evidence and so intimate a grasp of the Beatles' daily lives that the reader emerges knowing - with a certainty denied all previous generations - that this is how it really happened. Lewisohn's work stands as a monumental triumph, a challenge not merely to other Beatles biographers but to the discipline of biography itself. If only all important subjects had their Lewisohn

A triumph. Not only an enthralling account of the Beatles' origins, far superior to anything that has gone before, but also an essential piece of social history. Lewisohn has set out to do the Beatles justice and write the definitive history. I think he is succeeding

Epic in its scope, forensic in its detail, Tune In is like reading the Beatles' story for the very first time. Lewisohn's art is to tell the story compellingly: his prose has a vibrancy that sustains a remarkable page-turning momentum throughout its entire length. And what a story! Tune In leaves the reader breathless

The accomplishments of the Beatles has given rise to a near deification of them as both people and myth. Lewisohn brings that story back down into the world of real people. Tune In clears the air of myth and legend, leaving as much reality as a biography can offer. Every single page brings the Beatles back into focus and moves them away from legend. Common myths fall apart under Mr. Lewisohn's research

N2 - Within the Welfare Quality project protocols have been developed to assess animal welfare on-farm in an objective, science based and practically applicable way. For various species like broilers and laying hens, sows and growing pigs, dairy cattle and veal calves, welfare assessment protocols have been developed, but not for commercially housed rabbits. In the current project we made a first step for the development of protocols to assess the welfare of farmed rabbits, based on the Welfare Quality framework. We did a literature study, describing possible parameters for the different criteria and principles as used in Welfare Quality. In this first phase we focused on reproductive does (including non-lactating does) and meat rabbits, because it is the majority of the farmed rabbits. The protocol can easily be extended to rearing does and bucks. Where no scientific literature was available, expert opinion was used to find possible parameters. A workshop was set-up for this purpose with experts in the field of welfare of rabbits from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy and Spain. The information of the literature study and expert opinion was brought together in a proposed set of protocols and techniques to measure the parameters on-farm in commercially housed rabbits. For most of the parameters animals based measures can be used, except for absence of prolonged thirst. Examples of animal-based measures are body condition for absence of hunger, lying in fully stretched position and simultaneously resting for comfort and resting, respiration rate and red ears for thermal comfort, skin damages/wounds for absence of injuries, condition of eyes, ears, skin and nose for absence of diseases, a human approach test for good human-animal behaviour. However, for some parameters scoring methods need to be developed before they can be included in a definitive set of measures (e.g. body condition score, emaciated rabbits at the slaughter plant). For some criteria such as appropriate behavior further research is needed to develop tests that also need to be validated before they can be used in a definite assessment protocol. In conclusion, the proposed set of animal-based and resource-based measures for rabbit welfare is the basis for further development of a welfare assessment protocol for farmed rabbits. After development of techniques and validation of tests, measures should be tested in practice at commercial rabbit farms. Subsequently, these data will be used to adapt the protocols and define a first version of the welfare assessment protocol for commercially housed rabbits.
