Spring Quarter Newsletter  Global Giving Challenge This quarter, we earned a permanent page on globalgiving.org's website after well-exceeding our fundraising goal of $4000. Shoutout to everyone who recruited donors and worked so hard to ensure we have a lasting platform to promote our project! Fundraising Check-in During the 2011-2012 school year, we raised...(drumroll)...$8,900 so far!!! It's not over yet--we're seeing $$$ in our future and aiming for $10K. Think we can do it?  Summit UCLA biz-caj'ed it up in Chicago at GlobeMed's annual Summit. We explored the partnership model further, learned from the best and brightest in global health, and bonded with other chapters (trifecta, anyone?).  Spring Hike--May 19 GlobeMed-ers are going to show nature who's boss on our community building event of the quarter. Get pumped!  Hunger Games A Hunger Games inspired water-balloon fight at Sunset Rec got intense as teams competed for Jazz Reggae tickets.  Community Service GlobeMed-ers served their local community by preparing meals for the clientele at the Union Rescue Homeless Shelter.  Sprinkles Sale--Coming Soon Rack up some good finals karma (and eat your feelings) by placing a Sprinkles cupcake order with GlobeMed.
