MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy Services Ltd said on Monday that it had won an eight-year contract worth about 60 million pounds ($120 million) from British utility Scottish Water.
The contract would help Scottish Water save a minimum of 8 million pounds in operating expenditure over the next eight years, Tata Consultancy said in a statement.
Under the terms of this contract, TCS will consolidate Scottish Water's existing applications and transform information management to enhance the delivery of IT services to the business.
Scottish Water, the UK's only public sector water utility, serves 5.5 million customers in Scotland with water and waste water services.
Since its establishments in 2002, Scottish Water has been working to transform the water industry in Scotland by improving efficiency and carrying out intense customer-centric programmes.
