Greetings friends,
As this email is going only to previous attendees of our Health Courses, we hope this finds you & your families all well & in good spirits.
In 2 weeks we run our next Transform Your Health in 21 Days Program, which ends on the eve of Spring, very relevant for the unfolding of new energy, life & activity.
Many of you have done the Program twice, as there is so much we cover & you have told us it helps you to stay "fine-tuned".
Plus, there is new information & research discussed at each course.
For example, since our last program in February 2011, Weight Watchers has changed its emphasis for the first time ever, in that it no longer emphasizes calorie counting for weight loss, as was its main emphasis for many years. They are now saying what we have been saying in our courses for years, & that is that all calories are NOT created equal. They are now emphasizing NUTRIENTS more than calories, & rightly so.
Another recent research development that came out in June 2011 was from the Harvard University School of Health. In this release, they stated that the notion of moderation in eating treats or even good food above our needs, which has been advocated for years as harmless, is indeed a health hazard. After over 20 years studying hundreds of thousands of people, they found that, on average, people who ate snacks in moderation (when they weren't genuinely hungry), gained on average 20 lbs over 20 years, enough to cause serious health problems. Their heading was "Moderation is NOT a good Health Policy".
Another recent development was the abolition of the famous (or infamous) Food Pyramid, by the United States Department of Agriculture. This has been dumped in favor of something called "My Plate". The pros & cons of this will also be discussed at the next course.
At the Transform Your Health in 21 Days Program, we encourage people to eat according to their true hunger, not "toxic hunger". If they want treats or to eat above their needs, then do so INFREQUENTLY. Moderation implies small but regular deviations, & as the Harvard study proved, this leads to problems over time.
If you wish to attend again, or, if you have only done a one evening Health for Life seminar in the past, Dawn & I would love to see you, as we still have some seats available.
If you gained any benefit from the Course, could we ask that you kindly forward the next Program (attached) to any of your friends or relatives you think might be interested & who could benefit from the life-changing information offered. You never know whose life & health could be turned around. Also attached is an interesting article on nutrition, cancer & other diseases.
In any case, we will be keeping you updated with some fantastic e-newsletters,
Best wishes,
Greg & Dawn Fitzgerald
