Collection of essays

I am helping put together a collection of essays by LDS Scholars of color on their religious/spiritual foundations, or motivations to do intellectual work. Please contact me if you are interested in participating, or you know someone who might. 

Spencer, I’m assuming I can go through you to reach the members. If not, could you please tell me by what means I could reach the membership.

Hi, Ignacio!

I am interested in contributing to the collection, but I would appreciate some clarification regarding the eligibility criteria. When the call refers to scholars of color, which groups are included within that definition? Does it refer specifically to Black scholars, or does it also encompass other racial and ethnic categories, such as Latin Americans?

I am Brazilian and come from a mixed-race background, with European, African, and Indigenous ancestry. I would be grateful to know whether my background would qualify under the criteria established for participation.

"Scholars of color" includes all groups normally considered nonwhite,. If anyone has anything to add, please do so. we are still in the early stages of development, but we are interested in those voices who have not been included in works like these before.

I'm also interested in contributing.  What is the definition of "scholar"?  I am a grad student in urban planning so my field of study is not the Church, although I have written and spoken a lot as a Mormon feminist, particularly with Exponent.
