Hi all,

A friend of mine and Patrick Mason are introducing a new "Games in Latter-day Saint Culture" exhibit at Utah State today from 4-5pm Mountain Time in Merill-Cazier Library, Room 101. It is not often I wish I were in Utah instead of Kentucky, but I'm bummed to be missing this one. Even if you can't make the opening talk this afternoon, the exhibit will continue through March 15th. Please see attached flyer!

Best,

Spencer

Someone will have to tell me if they mention Joseph Smith’s love of baseball (mentioned in the Ken Burns’ Baseball documentary).

Thanks for the plug, Spencer.  It's a fun exhibit based on the Mormon board games collection we have here in Special Collections at USU. I understand BYU has a similar collection and put on an exhibit a few years ago. I was approached by a colleague who studies games as learning technologies and we decided to co-curate the exhibit. We had a great turnout to the opening reception today and hope it generates some fun and interesting conversations by those who see it.

Patrick
