Dear Global Mormon Studies Community,
We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 Global Mormon Studies Conference, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, 29th-31st October!
Register here: https://forms.gle/ERsJU4cS8rcQGi9j9
This year's conference theme, Mormonism in Africa within Global Christianity, invites us to explore the rich histories, experiences, and contemporary realities of Latter-day Saints across Africa while situating those stories within broader conversations about global Christianity. We look forward to gathering scholars, students, and community members from around the world for what promises to be an exciting and meaningful conference.
We are pleased to offer early bird registration at $20 USD for registrations completed between 1 June and 1 August 2026. Beginning 2 August, standard registration will increase to $35 USD.
We encourage attendees to register early to take advantage of the discounted rate and to help us plan for the conference. There are also discounted rates for students, the rates are outlined in registration form.
We have kept registration fees low to enable as many international participants as possible to attend. However, we appreciate if you are able to donate more towards keeping our conferences running. You can donate to our Venmo @GlobalMormonStudies or contact us for other ways to donate.
We are currently finalizing our contract with the conference hotel. As soon as arrangements are confirmed, we will provide a hotel discount code to all registered attendees.
We will also be sharing additional information and guidance about traveling to and within Kenya, including practical advice to help make your journey as smooth as possible.
For those who require visas, we will be happy to provide letters of invitation. After you register, a member of our team will contact you with information about the invitation letter process and any details we may need from you.
Register today and join us as we explore Mormonism in Africa within Global Christianity. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
With best wishes,
The Global Mormon Studies Conference Committee
