It is my sincere honor to announce that Global Health Connections, Inc. (GHC) is hosting our first Global Health Connections Conference on September 25th at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. The purpose of the conference is to bring together our Colorado Community in effort to share, discuss, and celebrate the global health projects that Colorado citizens are involved with. It's truly amazing how many individuals are involved in efforts to fight global health inequities.
The Global Health Connections Conference will have four break-out session tracks: global health service projects led by Coloradans, local university activism, in-depth discussions on sustainability, and “Colorado in Haiti.” In addition to the break-out session we are hosting a Haiti-Panel discussion with key health and development leaders from Haiti discussing their ideas regarding the redevelopment of Haiti. Having traveled to Haiti early this year and recently stepping into the role of GHC's Executive Director, I am very excited to host this event.
To put on this monumental event we are actively seeking conference sponsors and organizations interested in hosting a booth at the King Center. Booths start at $150 and there are a variety of sponsorship opportunities. The funding will help pay for the conference administration and all additional proceeds will support GHC's education and outreach programs. Please refer to the attachments for conference details.
