Greetings All:
I have been absent for longer than expected but for good reason.
The amount of interest in this project has been eerily synchronistic.
The Financial Times of London newspaper today had a story on the
potential disruption of the internet due to DNS malfuntions of various
scenarios. Not necessarily new or earth shattering reporting but
definitely poignant due to some personal experiences on my part.
There is a nervous undercurrent among high level personnel in industry
and governement about issues of internet oversight and politics.
Some are hedging their bets and covering their butts in case the
unexpected happens. We here, are not letting any grass grow under
our feet. No matter what happens some collection of innovations will
be public shortly because the increased inprovements in data traffic
and systems compatibilities are long overdue.
Don't mistake the head-fakes in the usually talking head media
outlets.
There are collaborators who are donating (not charging based on
agendas).
They and those watching this project see what is taking place and are
wowed and what they know is happening because they're publicizing us
along
the path of success. Just watch the 100 million club of broadband
users
rocket to 200 million. The stats page should make you think about
where
you are going to put your support and confidence. More specifics
about
technical improvements and analytics to follow.
