Introduction of GlowMark

Glowmark™ is an innovative product which provides a warm, green, distinctive glow during the night and in low level lighting conditions.

It is an ideal boundary safety marker system as it is not dependant on electricity. The unique patented crystal technology at the core of Glowmark™ emits light for up to 29 hours after just 8 minutes exposure to daylight or artificial light and has been designed to meet European Union Safety Directives. (Glowmark™ light emissions have been evaluated by the German Institute for Standardisation under their 67510 standard).


The current design of Glowmark™ is in the shape of an arrow measuring 5.8cms in length,  6.0cms in width and 0.5cm high, which has a specifically designed bevelled covering, calculated to dissipate precipitation, dirt and debris so that it is virtually maintenance free. Other designs such as GlowStrips and GlowLetters are currently in development.

A Glowmark™ marker is guaranteed to glow for 5 years, but in practise lasts much longer.


Eco Aspects

Unlike many other materials which glow, the unique crystal compound which we have developed for Glowmark™ is completely non-radioactive, environmentally safe and biodegradable.

There are no running costs associated with Glowmark™. This not only saves the end user money but also means that installation is very simple and requires no particular expertise as opposed to electrical lighting systems. A Glowmark™ marker can be installed anywhere, either directly onto a hard surface or onto a fixing post for unstable surfaces.

Typical LED lighting units range in price from £20 - £650 GBP plus installation  and running costs.

Glowmark™ retails for £4.50 (distributor price) with no/miminal installation costs and no running costs.

To light a pathway 10m long with LED lighting would cost upwards of £1000 plus running costs. To light the same pathway with Glowmark™ would cost in the region of £200 with no further costs involved.

This clearly demonstrates how Glowmark™ can reduce carbon emissions when used instead of electrical lighting and is very competitively priced, offering big potential savings to clients.
