New Delhi: With the rise in mercury, the city’s peak power demand clocked 5,460 MW on Monday afternoon, its highest ever in the first fortnight of April.

Sources said the power demand in Delhi has been scaling new heights and is likely to cross 8,200 MW this year. JAIPUR: Revenues from natural gas production by companies like Cairn India, Focus Energy, and Oil India Ltd has increased nearly four-fold in 2021-22 in the state compared to 2018-19.

In 2018-19, the state produced 708 million cubic metres (MCM) of natural gas for a revenue of Rs 100 crore. In 2021-22, natural gas production hit a record 1,570 MCM, fetching the state government Rs 384 crore in revenues.  Read more...

Patiala: Punjab's Power Minister Harbhajan Singh on Sunday said PSPCL made more power available in the last nine days as compared to the year-ago period, to meet the surge in demand.
