Some senators have indicated that they will continue to work on climate and energy issues in September. Please tell your senators that inaction is absolutely not an option. Unless they hear from their constituents now, the Senate will be very hard-pressed to pass such legislation before the year ends.   While I am disappointed and angry about this setback, UCS will continue to fight for comprehensive climate and energy legislation to pass the Senate this year, and you need to keep fighting as well.   The first six months of this year have been the hottest on record; and the past 10 years were the hottest decade on record. The science is clear—we cannot afford any more delays.
