At yesterday's Virtual Fixit Clinic Jodie From Cambridge Massachusetts US: Showed a Telephone (landline) handset Panasonic Dect 6.0 Plus / KX-TGA652 2013 where the buttons (keys) on top especially the "2" don't work.

The suggestion was to clean the keypad membrane area with 91% isopropyl alcohol. To disassemble the phone: watch this video of a very similar phone: https://youtu.be/VblmHZyRzb0

Jodie emailed later that she fixed the phone:

Hi Jodie:

Here’s the link to the phone disassembly video I found: https://youtu.be/VblmHZyRzb0

Just be careful as you’re unsnapping the two plastic halves because there are inside wires going to both halves.

He says in the video to wash the button membrane but personally I would just use q-tips with 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean the little black circular pads.

Thanks again for being at today’s Virtual Fixit Clinic.

Cheers, -Peter

Hi Jodie:

Many thanks for your reply.

- We'll help you get the phone open. If you look in the battery compartment there are probably screws in there. Some stiff plastic like some old credit cards, or a butter knife or thin spackle tool will help separate the two halves. If you have some 91% isopropyl alcohol and some q-tips that'll help too.
