September 18 – Investing in Education Systems for Sustainable Development and Children’s Well-Being

This High-Level Side Event will be held as part of UNGA 78 on September 18th at 3:30 PM at UN Headquarters New York and will be opened by H.E. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and will feature H.E. William Ruto, President of Kenya(TBC), H.E. Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation (TBC), Roger Federer, former Professional Tennis Player and Founder and Board President of the Roger Federer Foundation, H.E. Toyin Saraki, Founder-President of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), Laura Frigenti, CEO of the Global Partnership for Education, and Catherine Russell, Executive Director, UNICEF with Janet Mbugua, Media Personality and GPE Champion, moderating. The event is co-hosted by GPE, the Government of Kenya, the Roger Federer Foundation, UNICEF and co-sponsored by the Government of Switzerland.
