Don't spend Halloween standing in long, cold lines for a haunted house or a corn maze. Instead, come see Gaslight Theatre's final performance of Blithe Spirit, Noel Coward’s most popular comedy. Blithe Spirit was dubbed as "uproarious" and "pure entertainment" by New York Times critic Brooks Atkinson. Premiering in 1941 in London, where it ran nearly five years, the show then moved to Broadway where it won the New York Critics Circle Award.

The ingenious plot tells how novelist Charles Condomine invites into his placid English home an eccentric medium in order to learn the language of the occult as research for his next novel. Little does Charles or his lovely second wife, Ruth, know that the seance staged by the medium will summon back Charles' first wife, now "passed over" for seven years. The result is a hilarious love triangle in which Charles – and the audience – tries to keep one step ahead of the first Mrs. Condomine and her not-so-hidden attempts to reclaim him. Hilariously funny, brilliant, clever and about as cockeyed as a play can be.

Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $13 for students and seniors (55+). The show starts at 7:30 and the doors will open at 6:30 for live music by Wonderlic and displays of art in the Harris Park Arts Cooperative gallery.
