Perry,
wish that this covenant will find a space in your prestigious paper...thanks a lot...
A Covenant with the People by the Aquino II
government(by Edna Aquino)
If Noynoy wants to keep the faith and trust of the millions of
those who voted him - one of the first noble acts he could take is to
get the Kamag-anak Inc sign a covenant with the people that they will do
everything in their power to end the culture of political dynasty in
the country - starting with theirs; that they will not interfere in the
running of the country and will not enrich themselves through
influence-peddling and hand over the resolution of the H.Luisita dispute
to an independent body.
This will be one of the minimum standards by
which his governance would be judged. Another covenant will be by his
appointees and elected officials who ran under his party. These
covenants will have an empowering effect on the people - make them
become more vigilant to play their role as watchdogs of this new
government.

""The true test of an informed democracy is the ability and liberty of its citizens to critique public officialdom without incurring the wrath of onion-skinned, narrow-minded and egoistic public servants, otherwise, it is anarchy disguised- as a democracy".
