Consul General Ezzedin Tago
PHILCONGEN
Jeddah, KSA

Dear Congen,

Salam'- we do appreciate your efforts of detailing to us the case
background of our Filworker Amelia Lozano.

Part of our team's policy advocacy work is to strengthen by way of
information drive, the "do's and don'ts" of living and working in
regimented places in the MidEast.

Our Manila group and other migrant organizations have been consistent
of conveying to all govt front line agencies of the importance of PEOS
and updated PDOS which should have been implemented even to the
remotest place of our barangays through an LGU led and local NGO
participation.

Suffice to say, it is not gaining grounds back home, while we expect
POEA to revisit its mandate, more so during these hard times, that
the govt is compelled to jack up its marketing missions overseas and
our only pleading is- please find novel markets for our displaced
kababayans where their rights protected and their welfare more
pronounce.

PEOS and PDOS should be clear and not to be taken lightly by
prospective OFW's and re-deployed workers, to enable them cope up
with the realities of going overseas.

They have to face the consequences of their actions whenever their
activities runs counter to local laws, however, key officials of the
post and attached agencies, as expected in hard post such as ksa,
should render "maximum legal assistance" especially to sensitive cases
where alleged violation of Shariah Law exist.

Only the immediate relatives of Ms. Lozano would confirm or deny your
findings, since we assume that a minimum level of communication exist
between them.

Complementary to our efforts of serving the needs of our kababayans
facing myriad of problems, the PhilConGen's team through your abled
leadership, will enable this "time tested partnership" in the name of
community service to muster in depth the facts and merits of each case
brought before you.

It is still your call Congen and we are at your disposal-we thank you
and the consulate team of their selfless efforts of serving our
kababayans in the Western Region and making this partnership works the
best we can as your volunteers.

Will put the case of Ms Lozano on watch pending your investigation.

Sukhran jazeelan!

Regards,
