we are happy with this Supreme Court ruling however, on the grounds,
we would like to test the implementation via NMB/NLRC and the
compentency of on site polo offices to give full options to aggrieved
workers that whenever host country labor courts ruling is not in favor
of our filworkers inherent rights- they can still file a case with
nlrc and sue the agency under the joint and solidary clause agreement.
One impediment is the quit claim agreement normally being force by on
site polo prior to repat.
Suggest we better revisit on site polo procedures which is not in
consonance with RA 8042 SC amendment.
What we can do from here is engaged polo case officers pending and
ageing cases-this is tantamount to opening the pandoras box.
Quit claim should not be forced on our workers esp when compulsory
mediation is done by incompetent polo owwa case officers.
We want the stand of Ilass how this ruling will be practiced by on
site labor attaches.
