Change is the constant in our lives and people that can adopt to it are the ones that seem to always win. Now, we are forced to change our usual routine due to this Covid-19 outbreak. Instead of blaming about the everyday spread of disease, society and government, it is better to cope up with the change and survive efficiently. There is no value in avoiding "Technology" at this point of time.
Recently I came across a podcast relating to online classes and experts were sharing their views on it. One parent was telling that 5-6 hours online class is been taken for her 9th grade child by the school. I thought it was really a huge blunder by the management and felt like giving some of my views on this.
The new emerging trend is "Online classes" for school and college students. The management is in the responsibility and urge to complete their syllabus, portions and equip the students by providing all available resources.
It is not possible for the government to impose "All Pass" for all classes like they did for Class X. They actually missed one of the great things in their life and some will really regret in future, but it was due to the Nature's coercion.
During any pandemic situation, schools and colleges are always considered to be the most vulnerable groups in the society. They will be the first to close and last to open only after everything gets normal. It is practiced like that so that students are safeguarded and fresh young minds are protected every time.
In schools or colleges, the students are able to improve many things like self-identity, build character, enhance interpersonal skills, people management skills etc. and all these are totally impossible in online classes. When they enter the real world in future, it will be very difficult to adapt the harsh reality. They are not able to explore many things.
Some might be fortunate to have Wi-Fi connections in their home but what about those who are using mobile data. If we attend a normal one hour webinar, we lose minimum 800-1000 MB of data. When the students are asked to attend online classes continuously for 5-6 hours, they need at least 4-5 GB per day. Can the college or school students afford that kind of internal connections in their home?
Basically, lot of stress is created by sitting with the gadgets all the time. Parents avoid giving mobiles or gadgets to their children because of the mental problems and physical complications they may face. But, now parents are insisting their children to use mobiles or laptops to learn through online class. Continuously sitting in front of the machine can definitely damage their eye sight badly.
Think about some cases where there will be more than one child who will be studying in a same school or college and if the institution implement online classes at the same time for both the students, how will the students manage it.
Not everyone here are having a formal study room or a proper set up for studying. They may hardly have two or three rooms, and it will be difficult for both students and children to cope up with this new normal.
Since they are having mobile phones in hand throughout the day, there is some possibility for the students to bluff to their parents as online class and they may see something else or play games. So, the distractions rate are quite high.
Thus, it is significant for the school and college management to study, analyze the situation and proper plan must be made to ensure they aren't pressurizing the students in the name of online education.
These are just my personal suggestions and teachers and educationists can really do some wonders by making this virtual learning a successful one. Thus, the severe imbalance between the physical form and online classes must be removed.

The CMTR follows the attendance requirements stated in the appropriate TPs and other regulations. If no attendance requirement is stated, the CMTR requires trainees to have a minimum of 90% attendance for in-class/theory portions and 100% attendance in skill demonstration activities to obtain a certificate. The 90% attendance requirement is only to accommodate force majeure circumstances that may prevent a trainee from achieving full 100% attendance and is not a license to decrease course hours.
