Reminders feature merged into svn trunk

Hi all,

After some on-and-off (mostly off) work for several weeks, I've merged
the reminders feature to trunk yesterday. It's not quite polished or
stable yet, but I am hoping that people will start playing around with
it and report bugs or send comments / feedback.
