Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's debut directorial was Chocolate which was a remake of The Usual suspects. I am not sure if they bought the rights or took permission or even acknowledged that it was a remake but anyway, his second directorial was Dhan dhana dhan goal which, again, had similar plotlines to a Hollywood flick - Dodgeball. His third directorial is Hate story which did good business at the box office. The story revolves around a girl who turns into this seductive femme fatale and avenges her sexual exploiters. Similarly, in ISOYG the girl gets gang raped by a bunch of hill billies and then she comes back with a vengeance to avenge her rapists. After testing success with the plotline, VRA and team turns it into a series of its own, which doesn't necessarily reflects the plotlines of the subsequent movies in the ISOYG series, at least not that evident to me( cuz I haven't watched all of them ;))

What the title says, so tired of story lines, long cut scenes, dialogue. It's cringe, just let me kill something or whatever. Didn't use to bother me but nowadays I can't filter anything by popular or high rating because everything is "the art is beautiful", "the soundtrack is amazing", "the story is so gripping".

Hate Story 2 released on 18 July 2014 has been directed by Vishal Pandya and is a sequel of earlier Hate story 1 released in 2012. The songs and most of the film is done well in terms of photography and cinematography using elements of lighting, composition, exposure, bounce light / filtration and direction.

That said, I also know that so much misunderstanding exists around Kubler-Ross' work. Most people don't know her theory was developed as stages for people who were dying, not those who were grieving. Out of her hundreds of pages of writing, most people only know those five simple: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. From there, they make assumptions, define things themselves, take a guess. I knew if I wanted to hate acceptance (and I did) I needed to know more than just the word.

So, rather than seeing 'happiness' as a state of pleasure, devoid of pain, Hayes says instead that "happiness is living in accord with your values in a way that is more open and accepting of your history as it echoes into the present".

That history for most people, certainly for those of us grieving, is a very mixed bag. It isn't being grateful for that past. It isn't being glad that it happened. Instead, it is acknowledging the reality of that past and accepting that history as part of our wisdom in the present. It is part of who we are.

It is what allows me to create a space that is fully open to my history - to all the losses and the pain that came with them. To all the memories and stories and connections that carry into the present. To the way that pain and loss have shaped who I am.

The film revolves around the story of a young photographer from Mumbai, who manipulates a right-wing public figure with great power and influence, which puts her and her lover (Akshay) at risk. She also gets subjected to false accusation framed by corrupt police. The film tracks events resulting...Read more from her decision to manipulate resourceful men.

Vikram Bhatt [he's penned the story] falls back on the formula of the 1970s and 1980s, when vendetta fares ruled the roost. In HATE STORY, the protagonist seeks vengeance and uses her sexuality as a weapon to settle scores with the wrong-doers. A compelling plot that has the potential to keep the viewer captivated, the film tantalizes and teases the spectator thanks to the intrepid dare bare scenes by Paoli Dam, but is quite unpersuasive at certain junctures as well.

The story revolves around Kaavya [Paoli Dam] and her transformation from a simple middle class journalist to a sex worker to seek revenge. Kaavya, who doesn't have anything to lose anymore, uses her sexuality as a lethal weapon to rip Siddharth [Gulshan Devaiah] apart by using everyone connected to him one way or another. Thus begins the journey of hatred and brutal vengeance.

This franchise is based on the principle that hate stories are more erotic than love stories. Sex as sport, as a game, as casual encounters at work or in travel, as an instrument of comeuppance, as a strategy of business; all these are more of a turn on for audiences than a passionate culmination of romance. Friends and enemies with benefits seem to get more out of sex than traditional lovers.

What eventually unravels is a story that will keep you guessing, but is also as convoluted as it is foolish. At one point Aditya asks a question that I'm sure the director never did during the making of this film: How is that possible?

But we don't go into an erotic thriller franchise looking for logic. A degree of decently done sensuality and storytelling will suffice. Hate Story 3 doesn't manage even that; it's actually a crashing bore.
