Hi Anant!
Recently we have had a few people trying out the Glendix patch and ask
questions on IRC only to find that the channel is not active. By the
time either of us realize that someone said something, they have left
the channel only to never return.
I can see that the google groups url is mentioned in the topics on our
IRC channel, but I feel that we should specify either in the topic or
on the website that the Google Groups mailing list is the best (and in
fact the only) way to ask questions and the IRC channel is more for
occasional brainstorming sessions only.

Agree. I can hardly ever be on IRC these days. With mail I can at
least reply even if it takes me a couple days.

I've noticed that too, IRC is a transient medium and will remain that
way. I've changed the topic on the channel to encourage more folks to
post here instead.
