Greetings aviators,
We are organising an Aeronautical Radio Course for those who need or wish
to use Airband radios, for the weekend of 13 & 14 Feb.
Saturday from 8am till about 5pm.
Sunday from 9am will commence a refresher of the most important aspects,
followed by the written test (90 minutes max). As soon as you finish writing,
you will go over to do the practical, which takes just a few minutes. Once
completed there, you may go home.
We are still trying to organise a venue, but it is likely to be in the Milnerton or
Tableview area.
Costs will be finalised once we have a venue cost secured.
You will need to bring one ID photograph, which will be scanned then you
may keep the original photo.
The radio course is valid for life and need never be renewed, however many
pilots choose to do a refresher from time to time if needed.
Once we have a final cost, you will be asked to pay a 50% deposit, upon
which you will be sent some "study notes" in a PDF document via email.
You will receive the full course manual on paper upon arrival on Saturday
morning.
Please let me know if you wish to participate.
