Who was flying at Sir Lowry's Pass on Sunday?
Johan Moelich was visiting Cape Town with his FPV aircraft and took some fantastic photos of the
paragliders in-flight over SLP.

PS. Was the drone in any way a hazard to the paragliders, or did you feel comfortable with him flying
around there?
Some info - the camera on board can pan and tilt, to look around the aircraft, with the pilot wearing
video goggles. To the pilot, it looks as if he is actually flying onboard himself. He can either have
head-tracking enabled, so that as he moves his head, the camera follows his head movements which is a
natural way of looking around for other air-traffic and avoiding conflict, or he can manually control
the camera with a stick on his transmitter. The aircraft has a full autopilot which can be engaged in
various modes, either Loiter (fly a tight orbit holding altitude and avoiding wind-drift using GPS),
or Cruise (continue straight and level), or it can be set to fly to a particular GPS waypoint or a
sequence of waypoints at pre-determined altitudes and speeds.
