I'm considering buying my own pottery wheel. Since the yurt offers
Shimpos, Shimpos, Shimpos and a Brent, my experience with different
brands is limited. I used a Soldner - which I LOVED - but can't seem
to justify buying the Cadillac at this point. After extensive
Internet research, it seems like Thomas Stuart wheels also have a
great reputation. Does anyone here have a TS wheel they could
review? Actually, any wheel reviews would be great. Ideally, I'd
love to see/touch/smell before I plunk down my money.

Any advice is much appreciated!

I've had a Brent Model C for a number of years.  I don't use it that much, and I don't make large pots, but it's worked well.  Early on I had a problem with the pedal, but their phone help line guided me through the adjustment and it's worked fine since then.  Let me know if you have any questions.
