Khaled,

Trunnion mounting of the ball is possible for 2" size. It is sometimes
required when the valve is with an actuator, especially a heavy one. A
floating ball may not allow enough alignment to ensure proper seating. In
general the misalignment problem is more pronounced at larger sizes and
higher pressures in excess of class 300.

The 'high performance' term is attributed by butterfly valves manufacturers
relating to the eccentricity of the disc pivoting. The term is not defined
by any valve standard for obvious reasons.
The disc may be mounted with single, double or triple eccentricities. The
eccentric pivoting arrangement allows the seats to be away from the seating
surface during the major portion of the rotating motion, thereby reducing
the seat surfaces from rubbing against each other and therefore the reduced
valve operating effort.

I could find these on googling for 'high performance butterfly valve'

The foregoing is a really great example of why I keep nagging people
to be specific when they're looking for information. It says nothing
that everyone doesn't already know, without addressing the size,
which was given in the original post or the service which wasn't.
Item 2 is a guess--no help in making an engineering judgment.

I should add that it would have helped greatly to make a couple of
quick Google searches for 2 inch trunnion mounted ball valves to see
what was available. 'High performance' means nothing. Every marketing
droid who ever drew a commission will call his product 'high
performance' if he thinks it might close a sale. 'Performance' is
properly spelled out by the user, not the sales rep. Do a search on
'high performance valve' if you'd like confirmation. I got 22,000,000
hits when I tried it.

Really, when you feel like asking the list about a product, get
familiar with the market via Google or your search engine of choice
first. Use your judgment to decide what might be suitable, then ask
the list for experience with the product. Explain your service
conditions and your design intent.
