Why don’t you use FRP material for sea water? I am replacing all cement lined pipes in a sea water cooling system for blast furnaces (ND 900 to 300) by FRP .
The first pipes (ND 900) were replaced in 2006 with a good result.

material selection for sea water piping
Dear All
Cupro- Nickle Cu90-Ni10 can best be used for sizes upto 3" because you
can't use cement lined for these sizes.
4" and above cement lining can be used

Cupro-nickel material ? The cooling water system of a major power plant
will require both a header (big big pipe dia) and several branches (not so
large but in some places
still big enough to crawl).
Do manufacturer sell large bore dia cupro-nickel pipe material? How is the
cost? And how do you support it? Just wondering.
