Subject: [PipingDesign] how to achieve the slope

slope for steam lines are necessary and the same is indicated in degree or 1:125 e.g.in the case of thick pipes like mainsteam pipe for the utility boilers, how the required slope is achieved in the field?
is it necessary to indicate in the drawing different angles instead of all bends as 90 degreees or 89.5,90.5 etc?i understand for thin pipes in the field the erection group adjust the weld gap to achieve the required slope.can the same procedure accepted for thick pipes also?will it not affect the weld gap?
thanks
